Announcements

Everything we publish about ourselves lives here first, on our own domain, before it goes anywhere else. That is also how we publish for clients, and there is a reason for it.

Why this page exists

A release on your own domain is worth far more than the same release on a wire

An independent study of AI citations found that press releases distributed through syndication networks accounted for 0.04% of all AI citations, while the same category of content hosted on a company’s own domain accounted for 18.15% of ChatGPT citations. The text is identical. Only the address changes.

The reason is duplication. When a release lands on thirty aggregators at once, an answer engine sees thirty near-identical copies and has no reason to prefer any of them. A single authoritative version on the company’s own site does not have that problem.

So every client we work with gets their coverage published on their own domain first. The wire still goes out afterwards, because it does a different job: it puts the announcement in front of journalists, and it builds the consistent record of independent mentions that teaches an answer engine the business exists.

Distribution record

Where each release went, and what we paid for

We label our own distribution the way we would want a client’s labelled. A press release placed on a wire is paid distribution, not earned coverage, and the two are not the same thing however similar the logos look. Anyone who tells you a wire placement is a news outlet writing about them is hoping you will not check.

This page is the authoritative version. The wire copies exist to reach journalists and to build the record of independent mentions that teaches an answer engine a business is real — not to be mistaken for a newspaper deciding we were worth writing about. If one of them ever does, that will get its own line here and it will say so plainly.
